Susan Clark

Prompt: Make an aesthetically pleasing work with a near-net zero impact on the environment.

About: Susan M Clark is a fibre artist who makes colourful soft furnishings such as upholstered chairs, rugs, and garments. She returned to Saskatoon in 2016 after living in Japan and Switzerland for about a decade each, and both countries heavily influenced Susan’s art practice. In 2017, she attended SparkFun’s in Boulder, CO, for “Microcontrollers for Education,” and she has used light and sound in some of her pieces. More recently, she spends a lot of time in second hand shops looking for wool and wool/silk blend fabrics for her rugs. This summer, she attended the Bellevue Art Museum Art Fair.
